The large, white felt tent
is the traditional dwelling of the nomads. Near the most
popular tourist attractions in the countryside, camps
have been erected with gers, to meet the needs of tourists.
The surprisingly comfortable tents consist of a wooden
structure covered with layers of canvas and felt. They
are well equipped with 2-4 comfortable beds, usually with
carved and brightly painted wood-frames, a small table
and stools as well as a stove. A bigger ger serves as
a restaurant where meals are served. Toilet facilities
and showers are located in a central concrete building.
These camps provide a unique insight into nomadic lifestyle
and most of our guests enjoy their stay in this unusual
accommodation very much.
